Zhao Zi Sen Optical Fiber Communication Specialist. He was born in Shanghai China –Cantonese in 1932. 1953 graduated in Communication Department of Shanghai Jiaotong University. 1983~1992 Chief Engineer & Vice President of Wuhan Research Institute of P.T. (WRI)。Now， Senior Technical Advisor of WRI，Member of Science & Technology Committee of Information Industry Ministry, First Scientist Wuhan · China Optical Gorge。In the 1973, he began the optical fiber communications study, and proposed a correct technology for realization. He joined the draft work of 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th National Development Plan of Optical Fiber Communication. For normalization to develop Chinese optical fiber communication it plays as a key effect. In the end of 70’s, he organized R&D and produced of optical fiber, cable and facilities earliest in China. As a system designer and technology responsibility, he completed the first national key engineering’s of 8Mbps, 34Mbps and 140Mbps. In 90’s it was applied in large scale and got a lot of economical effects. As one of Chinese optical fiber communication pioneer, because of his contributions to optical fiber communication technologies & industry of China, he has been elected as the Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1995 and IEEE Fallow in 1997.
