Chengshu
He was born in May 6, 1932 in Chungqing. He graduated from
the Telecommunication Department of the Northern Jiaotong
University in 1953, and since then has been engaged in teaching
at the same University. He also graduated from the Leningrad
Railway Transportation Institute of ex-USSR, obtaining an
associate Ph.D. degree in 1960. From 1981-1983, he went to
the USA as a visiting scholar in MIT. Li, Chengshu is the
senior professor of the Electronic Information Engineering
School of BJTU, and is also the honorary director of the Modern
Communication Research Institute. He is engaged mainly in
the research work of wireless, mobile, spread spectrum, personal
communications etc.. In addition, he is responsible for several
projects of the NSF, and 863 hi-tech state program. He is
the member of standing committee of the Communication Society
of China, Vice-chairman of wireless and mobile communications
committee, member of the editorial board of the journal CIC
. He has also published two books: ˇ°Spread Spectrum Communicationsˇ±,
and ˇ°Digital Mobile communicationsˇ±, plus 200 papers.
