He is also responsible for the Advanced Networking Services micropractice
for On-Demand Innovation Services (ODIS), a joint program between
IBM Research and IBM Business Consulting/ Global Services to tap
IBM researchers for solving difficult customer problems. For example,
he is currently working with a leading cable company in the US for
scaling their VoIP service infrastructure to accomodate the exprected
rapid growth in their subscriber base (from ~30,000 to 8 million
in 5 years). This micropractice includes SIP / SIMPLE / IMS, IPv6
and Mobile/wireless Networks, among other topics.
